School Council

We have a very active School Council who meet fortnightly to look at and make decisions about how to make further improvements to the school.

Two children in each class from years 1-6 are elected each year by their class counterparts.

The School Council members listen very carefully to the opinions, concerns and suggestions of their classmates and work as a team to put together the agenda for the following meeting.

The School Council plays a very important role at Theydon Bois Primary School and the members are very proud of the following achievements:

  • Choosing the film titles for the PTA’s ‘Movie and a Munch’.
  • Suggesting new extra curricular activities to Mrs Lewis which has resulted in a regular Design and Technology Club.
  • Continuous fundraising for local charities.
  • They were even involved in interviewing the Headteacher.

Chelmsford County Hall Democracy Day

Some of our school council had fun at Chelmsford County Hall democracy day, learning to be a good school council representative, amongst the activities they learnt how to plan and budget a party.
